Recently, a high-level government delegation visited a pineapple processing project in Malaysia supported by GELGOOG, highlighting the project’s growing role in advancing regional agricultural industrialization.
The delegation was led by Mustapha Sakmud, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs). Senior representatives from the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (MPIB), including its Chairman, Director General, Deputy Director General, and other government and industry officials, also participated. This high-level visit underscores the Malaysian government’s strong commitment to the development of the pineapple industry, particularly in Sabah and Sarawak, with a focus on industrial upgrading, scaling, and value-added processing.
During the visit, the delegation toured the project site and closely reviewed the operational performance of the pineapple processing line. Detailed discussions were held on GELGOOG’s contributions, including process design, core equipment configuration, and integrated production line solutions. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on key areas such as pineapple deep processing, diversified product development, and by-product utilization.
